Das Ventil des Rohrbelüfters öffnet bei Druck und lässt Luft in das Leitungssystem strömen, wenn sich
dort ein Unterdruck bildet. Dies ist eine Alternative zum Einsatz des Ventilationsverfahrens (Be- und
Entlüftung) der Leitungssysteme. Zusätzlich dient das Oberteil der Verpackung als Frostschutzhaube
(HBCD-Frei).
